医学部
At present, it is expected to provide adequate regional medical care and to promote the welfare of people in local communities. The founding spirit of Jichi Medical University lies in meeting with that expectation. To meet the societal expectation, training doctors so they acquire advanced medical skills and willingly dedicate themselves to regional medical care is indispensable.
Jichi Medical University was established in 1972, in order to turn out general doctors who acquire these skills and spirit. By 2009，3，278 students had graduated, greatly contributing to community medicine. Jichi Medical University provides education based on three educational objectives and seven educational policies to train students as general doctors who can contribute to regional medical care.
