Comments:
Interested in internal medicine in general, but unable to decide on a specialty, joined the Department of General Medicine. He spent his time in moratorium, studying while joining the Japan Society of Infectious Diseases, the Japan College of Rheumatology, and the Japan Neurological Society. After working as a part-time physician at Yukiguni Yamato Hospital (Niigata, Japan), he realized the importance of neurology and joined the department as a neurologist in the spring of 2023. Currently, he is enjoying to convey the joy of internal medicine.
★Dr. Sanayama is known for his excellent charting skills. His charts are often referred to as perfect by including all the necessary information. Dr. Sanayama is the most trusted physician in the center and also a great educator, who never hesitates to share educational resources he piled up in his Evernote with anyone who wishes to learn. Comments:
Dr. Tamura does not hesitate to accept emergency medical evacuation of many injured and sick patients. In addition to teaching practical skills on site, he has recently joined the Postgraduate Clinical Training Office and plays a central role. Being taught the importance of history taking and physical examination during his residency training at Jichi Medical University Saitama Medical Center, he emphasizes the importance of those first-hand information whenever he teaches residents. He is known for his gentleness, which is often referred as a “rare” attitude among emergency physicians. He is called "Mr. Tolerance" or "Conscience of Emergency Medicine," and is highly trusted by residents.

Dr. Suzuki specializes in critical care medicine and general internal medicine. Her main interests were in research for many years but lately, her interests have shifted more toward patient care and resident education.
Dr. Suzuki is well known for her high moderation and facilitation skills both in Japanese and English. Not only moderating/facilitating various on-site conferences in the hospital, but she is an experienced host of online, international sessions as well. She is the primary local lead of the Checklist for Early Recognition and Treatment of Acute Illness and iNjury (CERTAIN, https://www.icertain.org/)-Japan program, which was originally developed by the research team led by Dr. Ognjen Gajic at Mayo Clinic, MN, USA to improve the quality of acute care worldwide. As one of the International CERTAIN Faculty, she co-moderates weekly online sessions for CERTAIN-Japan program.
Dr. Suzuki received the Outstanding Teaching Doctor Award at Jichi Medical University Saitama Medical Center in 2022.
