Medical Consultation

As JMUH is one of the 3rd level emergency medical facilities that treat highly severe patients who need urgent treatment, it may be recommended to visit other hospital depending on the symptoms and the patient acceptance situation at the time.

One of the main objectives of JMUH is lifesaving measures that are different from those of general outpatient consultation. If it would be judged that urgent treatment is not necessary, inspection and consultation would be performed for causes of disease and therapy later in general outpatient consultation.

Specific doctors of all departments are not always available for emergency outpatient. However, if necessary, appropriate treatment would be performed with the cooperation of specific doctors.

Selected Medical Expenses in off hours have been started 1st August, 2020.

Emergency outpatient of JMUH is different from those of general outpatient consultation and treats severe patients who need to be in urgent hospital with the highest priority.

Local nights & holidays emergency medical center or on-duty doctors for relative light patients who need medicines or simple treatment would be used instead of JMUH.

Considering the above circumstances, if it would not be emergency cases and outpatient treatment in off hours is requested, Selected Medical Expenses in off hours would be charged in addition to medical bills.

Selected Medical Expenses in off hours

8,800 yen (consumption tax included) * Medical dept. and Dental dept. are required separately.

Off consultation hours

• Monday to Friday: 17:15-8:30 (next morning)
• All the time of:
  Saturday, Sunday, Holidays, New year holiday season (29th Dec to 3rd Jan)

Those who are not eligible for Selected Medical Expenses in off hours.

• In hospital after consultation of JMUH Emergency outpatient
• referral letter of other hospitals to JMUH emergency outpatient
• Disease level was suddenly worse and treatment of emergency outpatient is necessary during JMUH consultation.
• Reservation in off hours of same disease during JMUH consultation
• It was judged by emergency outpatient doctor that urgent treatment was necessary.
• Clinical trials in JMUH
• Ambulance was used to come to JMUH.
• Others Any public expenses are applicable.

Order of medical examination

Order of medical examination goes back and forth considering the priority of severe patients.

Prescription of medicine

Medicines are prescribed only for next day. (If next day is holiday, prescription for the next weekday.)

Medical fee

Medical fee of urgent treatment is a little bit higher by adding off hours bill and night & holiday bill than that of general outpatient consultation.
