In today’s society, access to medical care needs to be ensured and improved in communities and the welfare of local residents needs to be promoted. This is the primary purpose of education at Jichi Medical University. In response to this requirement of society, we must foster motivated physicians who will willingly engage in community medicine and acquire advanced medical skills.
Jichi Medical University is a medical school that was established in 1972 in order to foster such physicians primarily as general practitioners. Since its founding, 5,113 students have graduated as of March 2025 and have made significant contributions to community medicine.
