About
In today’s society, it is necessary to provide and enhance access to medicine in communities and to promote welfare for local residents. This is the primary purpose of education at Jichi Medical University. In response to this requirement of society, we must develop motivated physicians who willingly engage in community medicine and acquire advanced medical capabilities.
Jichi Medical University is a medical school established in 1972 with the aim of developing such physicians, primarily general practitioners. Since its foundation, 4,978 students have graduated as of March 2024 and have made significant contributions to community medicine.
