Alumni of Jichi Medical University in Action All Over Japan
Since the University’s founding in 1972, more than 5,100 of its alumni have become physicians and have worked as general practitioners on the front lines in various medical settings in remote areas and islands across Japan. The University offers comprehensive, systematic, and continuous opportunities for lifelong medical training to its alumni so that they can always provide the latest medical care in these settings. At the same time, we closely exchange information with our alumni, and we have established a dedicated section for providing enhanced support in community medicine. Thus, we are making a concerted effort with our alumni to improve and enhance community medicine.
Today’s society demands the coordination and integration of health care and medical care, and the practice of community medicine accurately responds to this demand. Since our alumni have been committed to community medicine as general practitioners, societal expectations of the University and its alumni will continue to grow, as will the roles that the University and its alumni play.
